Step 1 of 6

What are we teaching?

Grade, subject, topic, and standards.

Step 2 of 6

Plan lessons for the week

One cohesive learning arc across multiple lessons.

Building blocks, not isolated lessons

Whether you meet daily or twice a week, we'll design lessons that stack—where each exit ticket becomes the next entry point, and learning builds toward deeper understanding.

Helps us understand your pacing
The big question that frames the entire arc
We'll build on what you have, adding questions, watch-for moments, and connections

Step 2 of 6

Build on what you taught

We'll help design what comes next.

Start from where students are

Tell us what you just taught and what students showed you. We'll figure out what comes next—deepening, extending, or reteaching.

Step 2 of 6

Let's think this through

Share what's on your mind — we're your thought partner.

We help you think, not tell you what to do

Whether reflecting on a lesson, analyzing student work, or working through a classroom behavior challenge — share what you're seeing and we'll help you consider different perspectives.

Be as specific as you can — the more you share, the more useful the response.

Step 2 of 6

Quick Practice Setup

Worksheet with answer key in minutes.

We'll weave names into word problems for engagement
Nu Teacher will weave relevant heritage connections into the practice set while centering Black history and the Beautiful Struggle as the core frame.
Selecting a type helps Claude understand how to use your material below
💡 When you paste source material, RETRIEVE questions test recall of this text, BUILD THE FOUNDATION analyzes it directly, PUT IT TO WORK applies concepts from it.

Step 2 of 2

Tell us about your students

The more we know, the better we personalize.

We'll weave their names throughout for deeper engagement
Nu Teacher will weave relevant heritage connections into the lesson while centering Black history and the Beautiful Struggle as the core frame.

Step 3 of 6

How do you want to teach this?

Select approaches that resonate with your style.

Step 4 of 6

Differentiation needs

Help us plan for all learners.

Step 5 of 6

Almost there!

Any final details before we generate?

You shouldn't have to choose between great teaching and a life.

⏰ 3 hours on the plan. 10 minutes on how to teach it.

You spend your weekend building the blueprint—then walk into Monday hoping execution works itself out. The part that actually determines outcomes gets squeezed.

📋 Templates don't know your students.

Pinterest lessons and generic AI give you structure. Your classroom needs intention, personalization, and awareness of who's actually in the room.

🎯 Great plans don't guarantee great teaching.

You've seen it: beautiful lesson plan, mediocre delivery. Because there was no time left to visualize transitions, anticipate misconceptions, or prepare for the real moments.

What if you got your time back—and used it to focus on the performance?

How Nu Teacher Works

1

Tell us about your students

Names, context, what they're working on — including your students' specific heritage and community. The more we know, the sharper the draft.

2

We draft. You refine.

Get a complete lesson with timing, differentiation, and pedagogy baked in—as a starting point, not a final answer.

3

Focus on execution

Now you have time to visualize transitions, anticipate misconceptions, and prepare for the real moments that matter.

4

Reflect and iterate

Use our Reflect pathway to examine how it went and figure out what comes next—with a thought-partner who asks the right questions.

What Teachers Are Saying

"The app is able to create a lesson using the names of students, which increases relevance and engagement."

Diaman R.

5th Grade ELA Teacher, Ember Charter School

This Isn't Just a Lesson Planner.

Nu Teacher is a thought-partner built by a 20-year urban educator who's been in the trenches—KIPP, Uncommon Schools, Success Academy, and Ember Charter School for Mindful Education in Brooklyn.

What You Get with Generic AI

vs.

What You Get with Nu Teacher

A template with blanks to fill in

A lesson with your students' names woven throughout—Jamal, Aaliyah, Marcus are part of the lesson, not afterthoughts

10 rounds of prompting just to add scaffolding and cultural relevance

Liberation pedagogy, differentiation, and culturally responsive teaching baked in from the first draft—never an afterthought

One-size-fits-all output that ignores your school's language and culture

Lessons that match your school's culture—whether you call them "Scholars," "Brothers and Sisters," or "Dreamers"

A practice worksheet with no structure or thinking framework

Tiered worksheets with Build the Foundation → Put It to Work → Own the Thinking, plus answer key and student self-check built in

No understanding of what actually happens in urban classrooms

Trauma-informed practices, executive function supports, Beautiful Struggle philosophy, and real-world wealth-building contexts embedded naturally

What's Under the Hood

Every lesson and practice sheet carries 20 years of pedagogical wisdom—invisible to the teacher, transformative for the student.

🧠

Beautiful Struggle Philosophy

Productive struggle framed as growth, not failure. Students learn that confusion is the path to mastery—and that a wrong answer with solid reasoning tells their teacher more than a right answer with no thinking.

🌍

Culturally Responsive by Default

Real-world contexts that reflect your students' lives. Math problems about community investment and business ownership. Science through community impact. History through the lens of those who lived it.

📖

Teaching Playbook: What to Know Before You Teach

Every lesson includes a prep guide—content refresh, key strategies, misconceptions to anticipate, and the "WHY THIS MATTERS" connection for students. Read it first, walk in confident.

🎯

Three-Tier Practice Structure

Quick Practice worksheets scaffold thinking: BUILD THE FOUNDATION (access), PUT IT TO WORK (apply), OWN THE THINKING (analyze and critique). Every student knows exactly where they are in the learning process.

Built-In Student Self-Assessment

The Quick Check-In at the end of every practice sheet gives students language to name where they are: "I can explain my reasoning" / "I need one more example" / "I'm in the struggle—that's the point." Teachers get instant data without a quiz.

🔍

NuLens Critical Thinking Framework

The OWN THE THINKING tier doesn't just ask hard questions—it teaches students a process: Signal (what's on the surface), Smoke (what's driving it), Fire (what the evidence actually tells you). Analysis becomes a skill, not a task.

Why every problem is placed exactly where it is

The sequence is the point. Every Quick Practice set opens with a problem your student can already solve — not because it's easy, but because it uses the exact same mathematical structure as today's harder work at a scale where fear doesn't get in the way first. A student who has spent years believing they aren't a math person solves problem 1 and meets problem 2 with a different posture. That shift is structural, not motivational. It's designed.

"I think if people actually read it, it helps you better understand what you worked on and are about to work on. And it helps you with the vocabulary — so yeah, it's good." — a student in a pilot classroom, after highlighting the Core Idea section of his practice sheet unprompted. He then redirected himself back to the work without waiting for teacher validation.

That moment is what the design is for. The Core Idea paragraph doesn't appear before the problems — it appears after four of them, once the student has already encountered the structure. The vocabulary is there before they need it. The error in Pull It Apart is deliberate. The Claim It conditions are specific enough to be independently verified. None of it is accidental.

Entry ramp

Problem 1 uses the same mathematical structure as today's skill — one grade level below. No label. No announcement. A problem the student can win before the grade-level work begins.

Core idea

The concept gets named after four foundation problems — not before. Students encounter the structure first, then receive the language for it. Research on structure mapping confirms this is the right order.

Pull it apart

Every set includes a worked solution with one deliberate conceptual error. Finding it produces deeper encoding than getting the right answer. The answer key is verified by a separate AI call before the PDF is generated.

Claim it

Students who generate their own examples outperform students who study examples on transfer tasks. Claim It is that generation — specific, community-grounded, and independently verifiable.

Nu Teacher is a teacher-reviewed tool, not a teacher-replacement tool. Every output is a starting point. What it gives you is a starting point that is more scaffolded, more sequenced, and more responsive to who is actually in the room than anything buildable alone in the time you have.

Your time is precious
The plan is just the prototype
The magic happens in execution

"I did the 10,000 hours so you don't have to. ChatGPT gives you a generic lesson. Then you spend 10 more minutes prompting it for scaffolding, cultural responsiveness, and differentiation—and you're STILL editing the output. With Nu Teacher, all of that is the default, not an afterthought. The Beautiful Struggle philosophy, the tiered practice structure, the teaching playbook—it's all embedded. You show up and teach."

Frequently Asked Questions

⏱️ How quickly will I receive my lesson or practice sheet?

Lessons and Quick Practice worksheets are generated automatically and typically arrive within 5–10 minutes. Check your inbox and spam folder just in case.

✏️ Can I edit what I receive?

Absolutely—that's the point. You'll receive a print-ready PDF and an editable Google Doc. Click "File → Make a copy" to customize it. The lesson is a prototype for your thinking, not a final product.

What's included in a Quick Practice worksheet?

Each sheet includes 9 tiered problems organized across three levels: BUILD THE FOUNDATION (entry ramp through bridge), PUT IT TO WORK (transfer and application), and OWN THE THINKING (Pull It Apart error analysis and Claim It creation). You also get a WHY THIS MATTERS context box, student-facing thinking prompts, a Quick Check-In self-assessment, work spaces for each problem, and a full answer key with teacher notes and Celebration Prompts—all personalized with your students' names.

📖 What is the Teaching Playbook?

Every lesson opens with a 1–2 page prep section called the Teaching Playbook. It includes a quick content refresh, key teaching strategies, common misconceptions to anticipate, and differentiation approaches—so you walk in ready to perform, not just prepared to teach. No other AI tool gives you this.

🌍 Can Nu Teacher reflect my specific classroom community?

Yes — and this is one of the things that separates it from generic AI. When you submit a lesson or practice request, there is a community context field where you can describe your students' heritage: "majority Haitian-American," "mixed Dominican and Puerto Rican," "West African and Black American." Nu Teacher weaves that context into the WHY THIS MATTERS section and the word problem scenarios — not as a replacement for the Black cultural throughline, but as a solidarity thread that connects your community's specific history to the content. The Black experience remains the primary frame. Your students' specific world gets named inside it.

🏫 Does it work for homeschool?

Yes. Nu Teacher works for any teaching context—public, charter, private, and homeschool. The personalization works the same way: your student's name, your content, your style.

🔒 Is my information secure?

Yes. We only use your information to personalize and deliver your lessons. Student names stay between you and your lesson—we never share or sell your data.

🎯 What if the lesson isn't quite right?

That's expected. The lesson is a prototype—a starting point for your thinking. Refine it, adapt it, make it yours. We save you the first 80% so you can focus on the 20% that makes it great.
